Hot Pumpkin Nog

by Liza Fulton on October 13, 2011

So – You take the top off the pumpkin, take out the insides and then what?  Well, our early colonists would then fill the cavity with milk, add some spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice – perhaps a little maple syrup and place the top back on and put the whole pumpkin in the hot coals.

This was the first attempt at Pumpkin Pie and made a delicious “nog” for a cool fall evening.  Sounds Yummy – don’t you think!  Give it a try and let us know how it worked out for you!  May the Fork be with You.
